Natural Star Viewpoints
Astronomical View Point of Sierra de Castril
In collaboration with the City Council of Castril de la Peña, we have designed and built the Sierra de Castril Astronomical Viewpoint, which, located at the entrance to the natural park, offers ideal conditions free of light pollution for observing and interpreting the night sky. From there, and with the help of its information panels, anyone can learn to locate the Pole Star to orient themselves with it and to identify the Milky Way, which from the skies of Castril offers an impressive appearance.
On the map there are marked, with the symbol located at the beginning of the text, other spaces that can be perfectly used to enjoy the spectacle of the starry sky. We invite you to visit them.
